The show must go on, regardless
You must admit it's far past time to
Open the curtain

These drunken words dance their way
Over to you
There's a beer-covered crowd in this bar
I'm willing to make concessions

Today, we learn about value
I'm convinced I have very little, that I'm
Playing to an empty house
You're only playing your part when you
Disappear behind the curtain

The temptation, of course, is there
To be mediocre, or to
Declare myself unworthy before
Any judgment on your part comes clear
I have the charisma, but you want certainty
I wish the best of luck in finding it

This is a delicate stage in our interaction
The footlights are blinding me to your
Reaction
No one's in the audience but you
You're too busy checking your phone
The stars are burning out
Going down in flames

Still I take my bow and my steps backwards
Open the curtain for the next performer
The show must go on, regardless.
I was sort of playing with saying something by actually not saying it at all. I know that makes no sense, it's kind of the point? I don't know.
